Genesys Cloud - Main

  I am attempting to use a new script that I cloned from an existing one.  The only difference is that I moved one of the fields up in the form.    The new Script is NOT displaying.

 

Here are the steps I took:

 

• Opened scripts in Admin
• Selected the existing script                          "Display Call Type and Instructions"
• Created Template from Script                    "Display Call Type for Epharm"
• Created the new script:                                "Epharm – Validation location moved 06012019"
• Move the Validation  field to the top of the script
  • Before
  • 
  • After
    • 
  • Saved the script
  • Published the script
  • Changed the Queue to use the new Script and save the change
  • Republished the Call flow:                   
  • Set call Routing to use  the republished flow'
  • Cleared Chrome Cache
  • Place test call                                       
  • Interaction display is not showing the new template
    • 

 

 

Am I missing a step?

Is there a solution for the above mentioned problem? To add on the above post, the newly added script elements are also not showing in preview modus.

Hi Brendan,
Instead of creating a template and using it, can you try exporting the original script and then importing it into a new script and making the changes there and see how it works. This may not be a solution to your problem but surely worth trying.

Hi Todd, 

What I find is that sometimes the web browser / desktop app will cache an older version of the script. Fully logging out, clearing cache, then logging back in typically resolves the issue.

I've noticed that sometimes getting a new published script to display is really 'hit and miss' and has caused some great frustration before I figured this out.

Often the first edit/publish will appear straight away, but the subsequent publishes will often take multiple refreshes, publishes, clearing of caches, etc.

If I'm just changing something non-visible (like a variable or action) - I still make a change somewhere in the script so I can visibly see when it finally takes effect.

I've found an easy way to work around the cached script issue is to make/take an interaction that uses a different script before testing your new script:

Make changes to script, publish
Make interaction on behalf of a queue that uses a different script
Test updated script
