  • 1.  PureCloud Softphone terminates while provisioning

    When launching PureCloud Softphone on my Windows 10 computer, the provisioning wizard starts and then terminates after a few seconds without allowing me to enter any information:



    I have configured DNS with an A record for PureCloudEdge
    I can ping PureCloudEdge from the same PC
    I have configured the DHCP 160 scope option with http://PureCloudEdge:8088
    The Softphone within PureCloud Admin has the Hardware ID that matches the above screenshot: Frodo.swyd.org
    Edge seems fully functional with my WebRTC phone for inbound and outbound calls

    The provisioning dialog comes up fine on my Windows 10 system. I downloaded the latest version from the Resource Center and installed it (seems to be newer than the version available on the phone settings in the Admin UI).

    In Control Panel > Programs and Features I see Version 16.2.0.1888 for my Softphone. Is that the version you are running?

    I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but the same results.  I also tried installing it on another Windows 10 computer and that one doesn't terminate during the Provisioning, but it fails with the following error:



    The options look correct:


    And it looks correct on the PureCloud Admin Phone page:



    The yellow warning is due to the edge not being redundant.
