  • 1.  Question about Resource Center article updates

    Posted 09-30-2025 08:00

    Hi everyone,

I noticed that the Genesys Resource Center articles are still pointing to the old UI.
For example, one of the articles refers to Admin > People and Permission, which no longer matches what we see today.

Add people one at a time - Genesys Cloud Resource Center

I completely understand that the official rollout of the new UI hasn't started yet, but I was just wondering if there's an estimated timeline for when the Resource Center content will be updated to reflect the changes.

Apologies if this question has already been asked.

    Thanks in advance!

    #GenesysCloud

BTW...this Community is just for the Education and Certification folks, who have little to do with Resource Center content :-)

You've probably noticed today that the Resource Center now has a disclaimer:

"Due to ongoing innovation, instructional content may be different than the Genesys Cloud user interface. For the latest information on our UI changes, see Explore the Genesys Cloud interface."

One can't help but laugh a little at the irony here. Seems like both the user community & resource center team are scrambling to update their instructional content in time for the New UI permanence 😜

This has been a challenge for quite a while - having resource centre and beyond content kept up to date (and correct) with what's being rolled out - but an even bigger question is how up to date exam content is when major stuff like this is rolled out.  Is someone able to respond to that part here?  Let's say someone was sitting the core GCP exam in the next few days/week... would questions on that exam reference the old UI too?

I know I've given feedback many times over the years to the resource centre documentation crew and have always found them to be great at responding and updating if anything is wrong.

Many moons ago...when I was but a wee bairn...I managed the Documentation team for InIn. It's very difficult to have everything ready to go at cutover, what with bug fixes going in up until the last week, but the doc is usually ready for release at true GA. The difficulty with the Resource Center is that the pages are referenced by a code, and tied to specific pages for each view in the UI...

Thus, because they will not be maintaining both old an new UI, and they need to keep existing page references consistent, they can't realistically change the Resource Center over until the UI fully changes over. It would break a bunch of stuff to do so. This is the only time since Genesys Cloud went GA originally that we've made a wholesale change like this.

The exams will not change until the course material changes, I imagine (I also worked in Education for many years). There will probably be a changeover period with both versions of the exam available...though I'm not certain on that. Someone from Education will need to answer officially.

To date, all of our ILTs have been updated. All webinars and workshops will be delivered using the new UI going forward. Additionally, we just announced last week a weekly office hours series every Thursday where our team will be available to discuss the new UI. Those sessions are free to anyone and can be found under the 'Events' tab in this community. Here is a link to the first session this coming Thursday. https://community.genesys.com/events/calendar?CalendarEventKey=c92429e2-1843-4691-b51a-0199ab8a8cb9&CommunityKey=e2dd9cd4-4d04-40dd-9794-2d625061effb

As for the certification exams, because they test features and functions, and not navigation, there will be no impact to the certification exam questions.

By the way, @Jeff Ritter, I have taken a couple or three exams the last two days, and the Developer exam in particular had a fair number (5 - 7?) of questions that reference specific paths to settings that are changed in the New UI...so a bit of rework might actually be needed. GCP exam had fewer.

I made comments in the exam as I noticed them.
