Hi everyone - thanks to this discussion, and a number of others going on externally, we have decided NOT to move ahead with this release as it would have impacted both agents and administrators in terrible ways!
Josh - to your question above - we think we could release admin only, but even there, once we did that, it would require a super administrator with Home division access to go and update the divisions on specific scripts so that other administrators (not in the Home division) would have any access.
Would this last use case be acceptable? It would kind of be a breaking change as well in my mind (and leads me to believe we may need to find another path forward. Thoughts? We strive NOT to introduce breaking changes and fortunately we caught this one at the last minute.
More to come on this topic and we hope to find a good solution soon.
thanks,
Chris

Subject: Question about upcoming feature for Scripts to be division aware
Chris,
Is this initial release to control access for ADMINISTRATOR access to scripts only? or are Agents included? If we don't have Home on the role that allows the agent access to the script, then this is a breaking change for Contact Center users, correct?
Just looking for clarity as the feature release blurb doesn't really answer that question for me.
Thanks,
Josh

Robert is correct - the default division for all scripts will be 'home'.

In the past, when this was added to attributes and features, the default was home until you assigned it a new division. Just make sure you have Master Admin in Home and you should be good.

I see in the 'coming next release' post, aka in 2 days, that Scripts will (finally) be division aware. When this launches will existing scripts start out division-neutral or will we need to be prepared to map out all our scripts on release day so that reps can still see them?
