Genesys Cloud - Main

We currently have 11 different prompts that we would like to play randomly while a caller is on hold.  Does anyone know how to set this up?

Hi Mark, do you mean on-hold or in-queue?  You could probably get through this by playing them as prompts in the in-queue flow rather than playing the default queue music/prompt.   So name them prompt_queue_music_1, prompt_queue_music_2, prompt_queue_music_3 up to _11.  Then have a random number generated into a variable that you pass to a Find prompt action to identify which one to actually play.

I seem to recall there's a thread in the community about this or something similar.​​

I did some searching on how to generate a random number but I couldn't find anything.

No random number generator at present in Architect - vote up this idea:  Random number function in Architect | Genesys Cloud Ideas Lab (aha.io)

I use the last 1 or 2 digits of the seconds and then some ugly If(xxxxxxxx) statement to choose.  You could just look at the last digit and then use a switch with 10 possible prompts to play based on that.
