If you feel you need additional guidance, consider using the instructor‑led training, as it can be more effective than just working through an eBook.

    Good morning!

    A good starting point is to review the Architect exam content categories, as they give a clear picture of what is covered in the exam and help you focus your study time. The main topics include:

    • Architect Basics

    • Inbound Call Flow

    • Prompts

    • Operating Schedules

    • Variables and Expressions

    • Data Tables

    • Data Actions Integration

    • Voice-Based Flows

    • Inbound Digital Flows

    • Post-Interaction Flows

    • Flow Performance

    • CC Admin Basics

    • Implementation Basics

    My recommendation is to combine theory with hands-on practice in Architect, especially around inbound flows, data actions, variables, and routing logic. Reviewing real use cases and testing flows in a sandbox environment helps a lot.

    In addition, if you do not yet long experience with Architect, focusing on architect flows and functions available per type of flows, the exam normally test the knowledge about the solution in complex scenarios.
    Also, the details are important as UI, list of functions and permissions; complete the course and do all lab exercises is very helpful. Do not forget the note section!

    I recently prepared for the Genesys Cloud Architect Certification, and my biggest recommendation is to focus on understanding how Architect components work together in real-world call flows rather than trying to memorize individual features.

    Here are the areas I would spend the most time on:

    • Inbound Call Flows
    • Digital Bot and Voice Bot integration
    • Menus, Tasks, and Reusable Tasks
    • Decision actions and branching logic
    • Data Actions and API integrations
    • Variables and Expressions
    • Looping and Error Handling
    • Call Routing and Queue Transfers
    • User Input and Data Collection
    • Common Architect best practices and troubleshooting scenarios

    One thing that helped me significantly was creating and testing complete flows in a Genesys Cloud environment. Building flows yourself helps you understand dependencies, variable scope, error paths, and routing behavior much better than reading documentation alone.

    Make Full Use of the Free Practice Exam

    In my opinion, the free practice exam is one of the most valuable preparation tools available.

    A few tips:

    • Don't focus only on your score.
    • Use the results to identify knowledge gaps.
    • Treat every topic covered in the practice exam as an important study area.
    • Pay attention to the number of questions per topic because the actual exam often emphasizes topics in a similar proportion.
    • For every question, make sure you understand:
      • Why the correct answer is correct.
      • Why the other options are incorrect.
    • Continuously update your personal study notes based on what you learn from the practice exam.

    My personal rule is:

    Don't stop when you know the right answer. Stop when you know exactly why the other answers are wrong.
