It is actually not that odd, because there was more affected people. In my company we use either Google Chrome or MS Edge and were experiencing said problem in both for few weeks. This was affecting everyone in my team - which was 9 people. We also did every commonsensical troubleshooting steps such as clearing history, cookies, site data, form data, every clearable thong in both browsers, rebooting PCs, all to no avail.
Today I started to describe our case here, went to the Resource Center to take a screenshot and the search bar was there.
So whatever the development team did and then undid, please do not touch it again! Our admins lives are better with this bar, please do not disappear it again

That's very odd. I just checked and the search bar shows up just fine for me using Edge, as well as all of the other browsers that I use.

This sounds like there is something within your environment that is not allowing the search bar to load properly.
