  • 1.  Response Asset Limits?

We use images in nearly all email canned responses, and I'm in the process of migrating these into the Response Assets library. However, I'm now running into some unusual behavior. Is there a limit on the number of images that can be added to the library? It seems to cap off at 25. I've added more images than are visible when I look at the Response Assets admin page, and I see an incomplete list when attempting to add an asset to a canned response. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for those it chooses to display - one image I had previously added to several canned responses is now no longer visible either in the Response Assets library or to add to a canned response. It appears to still exist somewhere in my platform as I tested a canned response using the no longer visible image and it still visible in the customer email. The Response Assets library UI leaves much to be desired but this is more concerning. The limited info I was able to locate in the resource center was not helpful - hoping someone has some knowledge or better yet a workaround. Thanks

I also experienced some strange issues with the Response Assests.  I had a digital bot that had images from the Asset library and it was working fine.  Then all of a sudden, it stop showing the images in the bot.  I deleted and uploaded again and it worked fine for now.  No errors or explanations.  Like you, I tried the URL in another application and it pulled up the image.  Since the library is just a repository for images, I think I am going back to hosted images on an outside URL until this thing gets settled and we have more documentation.  @Jody Nabuurs, can you chime in and get us better documentation around the library?

    Hey Robert,
Our Response Assets Library was primarily built to be used with Canned Responses. It's not yet optimized for use by other resources in GC. We do plan to add this support in the future, but it would explain why you're having issues while using it with a digital bot. Interesting that it works fine in some cases, though. I'll talk to development about this one, too.

    Hi Emily,
Thanks for reporting this. It looks like it's a pagination issue. We support 25 per page. The development team is investigating this. Did you also open a ticket with Care? If not, do you mind doing that so we can go through the standard process? Again, our development team is aware and will work on a fix. Sorry about this.

Yes, we have seen times both in canned responses and in digital bots where the images don't show, but they are accessible via the URL.  Just a bit flakey on the delivery by CloudFront if you ask me.
