    If I understood right from above link, the external contacts sync is one way ... from salesforce to purecloud. Even the trigger updates propagate changes in Salesforce to PureCloud not the other way around.

    What if we already have contacts in PureCloud's external contacts and salesforce has none. Now we want to setup an external contact sync from purecloud to salesforce initially and then two way?

    I haven't implemented this integration yet due to fear of losing the existing contacts in purecloud as the link says

    initial 1-way sync from Salesforce to PureCloud occurs

    You are correct. There is currently not a built-in way to sync PureCloud contacts into Salesforce. If you wanted to do that, you would need to create a process using our APIs to extract the PureCloud contacts and send them to Salesforce. Then, you would only be making changes in Salesforce and those changes would propagate back into PureCloud. Two way sync is currently not supported.

    It's a long term roadmap possibility at this point, nothing concrete planned. Our ideas portal is the best way to capture interest in these long term roadmap features.
