    Hi All,

    For those using the Desktop App of Genesys Cloud, it appears this weeks release with the improvements to screen recording playback has changed the behaviour of viewing the screen recordings.

    Previously launching a screen recording would pop-up a new window (related to the Genesys Cloud desktop application) to view the screen recording - which is already authenticated.

    Now from this morning, launching a screen recording opens a new tab in any existing browser (not related to the Genesys Cloud desktop application) to view the screen recording. This now needs it's own re-authentication to view (at least the first time) and it's somewhat lost in the sea of browser tabs.

    Understand that the new tab could then be dragged out of the browser as it's own window - but it's a pain and is still lost in the taskbar as a browser icon instead of the Genesys desktop app.

    Is there any way how to roll back this behaviour so it continues to pop open a new window in the desktop app?

    Hi Jeff,

    Correct, the link for screen recording playback was changed. There is an updated desktop app available that supports these new links opening in the app rather than in the browser.
