    Hi everyone,

I'm beginning my preparation for the Script certification and would appreciate any advice. For those who have already taken the exam, what study strategies worked best for you, and which topics deserve the most attention?

    Hello Lilian,

I recommend starting with the official Genesys course:

The main topics covered in the certification are:

    • Script structure and creation
    • Components (fields, buttons, labels, dropdowns, etc.)
    • Static and dynamic variables
    • Templates
    • Data Actions
    • Transfers (Blind and Consult)
    • Callbacks
    • Scripting-related permissions and roles

I also recommend creating a complete script that includes variables, components, transfers, and callbacks. Hands-on practice is one of the best ways to understand the types of scenarios that commonly appear on the exam.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message or post them here. I'm sure the community will be happy to help.

Good luck with your studies and the certification!

    Hi, @Lilian Masselli

My suggestion would be to start with the official study material and also take the practice exam available in Webassessor. It helps a lot to understand the style of the questions and identify which areas you need to review before the real exam.

I would also spend time building and testing scripts in a sandbox or test environment. For this certification, I would not focus only on memorizing definitions. It is important to understand how the script behaves in real use cases.

The topics I would pay more attention to are script variables, input and output variables, actions, validations, visibility rules, dynamic behavior, and how scripts interact with queues, flows, and Data Actions.

    Hello @Lilian Masselli

A good approach is to combine the official learning materials with hands-on practice. The documentation provides the foundation, but working through the sample questions in Webassessor helps you understand how the concepts are presented in the certification exam.

I would also recommend spending time creating and troubleshooting scripts in a test environment. Many exam questions are scenario-based, so having practical experience makes it much easier to identify the correct answer.

Key areas to focus on include script structure, variable management, actions and controls, conditional visibility, validation logic, reusable components, and integrations. It is also worth understanding how scripts fit into the broader Genesys Cloud ecosystem, including Architect flows, queues, and external integrations such as Data Actions.

Rather than trying to memorize every feature, concentrate on understanding why and when each component should be used. That mindset tends to be much more valuable during the exam.

Hi Lilian , I first took this certificate 3 years before and renewed it this year, and I pulled the preparing materials for myself and I think it covers over 80% of the exam questions. If you send me your email address I would like to share the document with you.
