Hi Vaun, a script only loads variables when it's initialized. You can re-fetch new participant attributes set in an IVR with a Data Action. A typical flow is:
1. Agent sends caller to the Secure Flow
2. Caller completes transaction(s) and a result / confirmation code / success / failure message is written to participant attributes
3. Caller returns to the Agent
4. Agent clicks a button, wired to a Data Action, that GETs the expected attribute and saves to a script variable
5. The variable is bound to a text element on the script so the Agent can view the value (or use another button and Data Action to send to CRM, etc.)
As always, don't write sensitive PCI data to the participant attributes.

Why can't this data be returned to a script? The resource centre talks about sending stored variables in a return to agent action, but not really clear how. The script won't auto refresh when a secure call returns to an agent either.

Not necessary, Robert. The Set Participant Data action does not have that option, and there is no need to use a Get Participant Data to achieve what Angie is talking about.

Yes, but you have uncheck the secure box and the IVR will no longer be PCI compliant for that call. Same for get statements.
