  • 1.  Sensitive data redaction

    Does the Data redaction settings apply to Chat/Messaging interactions.  We have Sensitive Data Redaction for Payment Cards and Sensitive Data Redaction for Personal Information enabled however when viewing the chat interaction with a role which doesn't have permissions to view sensitive data we are still able to see the data.

    Any input would be welcome.

    Hi Mark,

    Currently it only applies to Voice Interactions in the transcript tab, but there is an idea which is due to be released soon: Mask Customer Data in Interactions > Transcript tab

    Thank you @Samuel Jillard. What is your confidence this will be delivered this Q or Q1?  I see it was originally posted to be delivered Q1 of this year.

    It is targeted for Q1 2025 now, if you vote for the idea, you should receive further updates on release dates as they become available.

    What we really need is the removal of the automatic redaction of credit card numbers in messaging.

    Same problem. Apparently it happens on AWS Simple Email, which is used by Genesys CX. Only for properly formatted credit card info.

    Hi Robert,

    To provide more flexibility for customers using the sensitive data masking and recording redaction feature, we are working on an enhancement that will allow users to select which specific PCI and PII entities they wish to redact (for example credit card number). This is targeted for Q3 2025, after we release sensitive data masking support for digital interactions.
