  • 1.  sms gateway integrator for Indian client

    Hi Community,

    We cannot purchase an 'India' number as of yet under 'SMS number Inventory'. In such a case,  how can we send an SMS? 
    We do not want to purchase a different country number, as the end customer might ignore the SMS, thinking it is spam. 
    Has anybody faced such an issue before and what was the solution implemented?

    Evolution of the platform.  I believe this will eventually be in the platform, but Indian telecom rules are a maze to follow and harder to be compliant.  Genesys will have BYOB (Broker) for SMS soon enough as well and then you will have a choice of carriers.  In the meantime, you probably have to find an international carrier like TATA, Twilio, or BWI to handle the SMS from another application.  You might also look at TexTel from AppFoundry.
