SMTP Server Integration Issue

    Hi All,

    We are configuring the custom SMTP Integration on our client Org. After putting in the credentials and performing a "SMTP Test Connection" we are experiencing 'Invalid Credentials' issue.

    The port that is configured is Port 587. We have also raised a Genesys ticket for extending the support for successful implementation of this. Case: 0003121452.

    Outlook team has come back saying that there are a few blocked attempts due to legacy auth being used. They have confirmed that their tenant does not allow legacy auth.

    Could anyone confirm what is legacy auth and what are the ways to proceed with the successful SMTP integration on Genesys Cloud platform please?

    The SMTP details are as follows –
    Username: (not sharing here)
    pwd: (not sharing here)
    host: smtp.office365.com
    port: 587

    Recommendations provided by us and Troubleshooting done at exchange side:

    1. MFA Disabled
    2. SMTP Auth is enabled at the Org level and mailbox level
    3. Password has been reset

    Genesys Logs with errors seen as below –

    Exception (com.inin.postino.errors.PostinoError): Unable to authenticate with the specified integration.

    Exception (javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException): 535 5.7.139 Authentication unsuccessful, account has an issue. Contact your administrator. [LO2P265CA0065.GBRP265.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM
