    Hello,

    As per recent announcement , there is an agent-initiated recording button to be launched. Unfortunately, there is not much information provided on how it would look like in the Conversation Details. It is not even there on the linked idea either. Can someone from product team help with change management instructions? I am mainly interested in seeing before vs. after for conversation details panel as well as how administrator can ensure permissions are not automatically assigned to all agents on Day 1 of release.

    Great question, Darshan, and totally valid concern for change management planning. I actually just tested this in our environment, so I can show you exactly what it looks like.

    On the agent side, during an active call, you will see a new scissors icon in the call controls toolbar. That is your Start Snippet Recording button. Once clicked, it turns red and the tooltip changes to End Snippet Recording so the agent always has a clear visual indicator that a snippet is actively being captured.

    On the conversation details side, after the call, the snippet recordings show up as separate paginated recordings in the interaction details view. You can see the pagination control showing 2 of 3 in my example, meaning there were multiple recordings on that same interaction, and you navigate between them with the arrows.

    On the permission question, this is not auto-assigned. The specific permission is Conversation > Recording > SnippetRecord, and you have to actively grant it. If you do not assign it, agents will not see the button at all, so you have a clean Day 1 control point without any risk of it showing up for everyone on release.
