    Hello,

I don't know my softphone after provisioning stays in offline mode ??

How can I connect the Line Keys to my Edges ? (Error : None of the Line Keys are connected to an Edge)

When you say "provisioning", do you mean you went through the provisioning of the Softphone on the computer where it is running, and successfully connected it to the Edge from there?

Once you completed that provisioning on the computer, did you try right-clicking the Softphone icon in the System Tray and selecting Dial Pad, then try placing a call from the Dial Pad to see if it works?

First try *86 to see if you connect to voicemail, then try dialing an extension, then an outbound phone number (which will normally give you an error saying you don't have dialing privileges).

What do you hear when it shows Connected?

When you dial an extension, does the other phone ring?

Ok, so no audio path. Which could mean that although the Softphone can reach the Edge for Provisioning, the information passed to the phone during provisioning is not correct for Registration and placing calls.

That could be a problem with the Protocol or Port you have set up in the Softphone Base Settings under you have set up under Signalling.

It could be that you don't have a proper Phone Trunk set up.
Check those settings first to make sure the port/protocol on the phne settings have a matching Phone Trunk.

It could be a firewall issue that doesn't let the phone connect on the registration port and protocol (which is different from the provisioning port and protocol).

I suggest you use Wireshark to do some analysis, unless you are using TLS in which case you will probably need to use Log Lion http://www.regallogic.com/loglion.html to open and analyse the SIPEngine log for the softphone (normally found under \Windows\Temp\inin_tracting on the computer running the softphone).

I'm using TLS/8061 for SoftPhone Base Settings.

You need to go through everything I outlined above. TLS/8061 on the Base Settings means nothing without the entire context.

Since you are using TLS on the phone settings, you will not be able to use Wireshark to troubleshoot the network connection since the SIP messages are encrypted.

    They are always generated.

I don't know whether the PureCloud Softphone installs the inintraceconfig application to allow you to turn up tracing. It would be under the \Program Files (x86)\Interactive Intelligence\ININ Trace Initialization folder, I think. If it is there you can turn up tracing to NOTES and then try placing a call from the Softphone. (I am presuming you or someone around you is familiar with the PureConnect tracing utility...the PureCloud Softphone is basically the PureConnect Softphone with some modifications).

First check and make sure you have a TLS Phone Trunk set up and Enabled that can connect the phone to the edge.

according to the logs generated, it seems like we have a problem with the TLS certifcate.
    Any ideas @George Ganahl ?

Just on the chance that it is not valid...what does you show under Admin > Telephony > Certificate Authorities? Do you use the built-in CA and certificate? Do you have multiple certificates?

Does your certificate show as Certificate is valid when you click on it to view it?

If you have more than one certificate, i sthe correct one being used to Provision and Provision-Phone?

    That's what comes to mind.

Just to see if it works, you might create a UDP phone trunk and change the Softphone to use UDP, just to see if it can Register and place calls with that protocol, to make sure noting else is getting in the way.

    @George Ganahl

We're using only one certificate, the built-in certificate, which is valid.

When I changed the protocol to UDP, everything works fine.

But I don't understand why the TLS protocol makes problem !?

Do you have other Interaction Center software installed on the same computer (or did you in the past)? I am wondering if another certificate from IC is being used instead of the one that should be for the PureCloud softphone (since provisioning the Softphone should download the current certificate for use).

    Configuration of my Lab :

    Micro Edge
    Valid Certificate
    TLS protocol working fine
    PureCloud SoftPhone

I'm about to test a new PureCloud Instance including :

    2x Standard Edges V3
    Valid Certificate
The same SoftPhone installed on the machine

Maybe the fact I'm using the same SoftPhone under the same machine, it may keep in memory the certificate. So I need to specify which certificate to use since I have two of them related to each org ?!

I finally found something that allows me to switch the Softphone between two different Orgs using TLS.

The Certificate is cached in the User's AppData folder on the computer, and needs to be deleted. So, when I want to switch between Orgs I need to:

    1. Provision the Softphone to the org I want to use
    2. Right-click the Softphone icon and Exit
    3. Delete the SIP folder from C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Roaming\Interactive Intelligence\PureCloud Softphone\certificates\sip
    4. Run the PC Softphone and it should now register and be able to place calls

If I want to switch back to the other org, I have to start over with step 1.

    Thank you @George Ganahl

I've been through your steps as you described. But I have a different tree structure than yours.
    1. Certifcates folder which is empty by default
    2. PureCloud Softphone which contains lots of files.

Is there a special file that I should delete ? (below files that contains "SIP" word)

You are in the wrong location. You are looking at the program files, not looking at the files stored under the user profile.

You need to be in the folders that store the profile files per user. Normally that is under C:\Users\ with a folder for each user with a profile on the computer.

For example, for my domain user account the path is C:\Users\GeorgeG.I3Domain

Then you need to go to the View settings and turn on viewing hidden files and folders because the AppData subfolder is hidden.

Once you can see the AppData folder below the user's profile folders you can find the Certificates folder in the path I gave before.

    I've found it !

The folder "AppData" was hidden, and I wasn't at the right path.

When is this SIP folder created ? the first provisioning, then it keeps in memory the certificate related to this organization ?

Yes, whenever a Softphone is provisioned it will create the folder if it does not already exist.
