  • 1.  Speech and Text Analytics Certification – Study Tips

    Posted 9 days ago

    Hi everyone!

I'm currently preparing for the Speech and Text Analytics Certification and I'd love to hear from those who have already taken it.

Do you have any recommendations on what I should study or review before the exam? Are there any topics or areas I should pay special attention to?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Giulia ,

I recently spent time preparing for the Speech and Text Analytics Certification, and my recommendation is to focus on understanding the concepts and use cases rather than trying to memorize features.

Here are the areas I would prioritize:

1 Speech Analytics fundamentals: Understand how interactions are analyzed, categorized, and scored.
2 Text Analytics concepts: Be familiar with text-based analysis, sentiment, topic identification, and keyword detection.
3 Programs, categories, and phrases: Know how they work together and how they are used to identify trends and insights.
4 Sentiment and empathy analysis: Understand what these metrics represent and how they help evaluate customer interactions.
5 Quality management integration: Review how analytics supports agent coaching, evaluations, and business improvement initiatives.
6 Reporting and dashboards: Be comfortable interpreting analytics results and understanding what information different reports provide.

A few preparation tips that helped me:

1 Read the official training materials thoroughly, especially the examples and business scenarios.

2 Pay attention to why a feature is used and the business problem it solves.

3 Review the terminology carefully since the exam may use specific Genesys definitions.

4 If possible, get some hands-on experience with Speech and Text Analytics. Seeing categories, phrases, sentiment analysis, and reports in action makes the concepts much easier to remember.

One thing I noticed is that many questions are scenario-based. Instead of asking what a feature does, they may ask which feature or configuration best addresses a specific business requirement. Understanding the practical application of analytics is very important.

Good luck with your exam! If you've worked through the official learning materials and understand the key analytics concepts and use cases, you'll be in a strong position to succeed.
