  • 1.  Staffing Requirements

    Hello,
    Is there a limit to the number of calls needed in order to get a staffing requirement FTE. This current department only averages 50 calls a day. Is the call volume too low?
    Would they be able to benefit from the Capacity Planning Feature on 6/30?

    I see the screenshot shows only 1 day, does the forecast you used to generate these requirements have at least 1 week with data?

    Are the interactions for this PG being routed through Genesys or are you importing the historical data?

    They are being routed through Genesys, this department I created in WFM new, but they have been live with Genesys for several months. There call volume is low, do this matter?

    Another department I recently created is not populating any forecast data and they have been live for a month. Are they too recent for Forecasting? They are receiving several calls, but the Forecast is populating 1-2 calls. Also, I would like an answer to my original post, as I meet with the Department Thursday morning. Is there a call volume limit for capacity planning?

    Al, I would strongly recommend that you look at your Interactions report with a column added for "skills," "skills active," and "skills removed." This will help you understand how your volume is actually coming into Genesys Cloud. Sometimes, the ways that we think data comes in is not how it actually comes in.  Did you have the system generated route paths, or did you create your own?  The system only looks at the historical data that corresponds with the route path/planning groups.  If the route paths/planning groups are built in a different manner thank how they actually came in, the system doesn't have data to look at for forecasting purposes. 

    Example: 

    I build a planning group for QA, Skill1, English

    The way the volume actually comes in is QA, Skill1, None

    Because the planning group is looking at volume that doesn't exist, it isn't going to forecast anything.  The system believes we have received 0 (or maybe 1/2 test calls) with the QA, Skill 1, English combination.

    @Belinda Herrera I have seen similar outputs in my testing of Staffing Requirements.   In the first screen shot, on the right hand side, the planning group has an alert instead of an Avg FTE.   When you hover over the alert, it says please select a forecast with sufficient historical data.   In my sand box that has similar low volumes, I have run forecasts of 1, 2, 16, and 104 weeks, and it still generates those error types.  But when I run the same test in a client environment whom takes about 900 calls a day, I don't get the same error alerts.

    Can you give some insight into what the minimum data would be?  None of the knowledge articles provide such information.

    @Al Maatouk and @Russell Donald.  In order for the staffing requirements to generate there must be at least 1 week's worth of historical data in Genesys Cloud (not imported data) that has the interval volume, AHT, and agent staffed time.  If the volume is low and there are many intervals where there are no calls that might be causing an issue potentially.  I'll need to confirm this and investigate what else could be causing this issue.  I will post another response here as soon as I gather additional information.
