    Hello! A customer wants to use an external voice bot (connected to Genesys Cloud via SIP trunk) to get customer consent for recording. Then the voice bot should start Genesys Cloud recording (via Genesys API).

    If I understand the posts about the recording API correctly, this cannot be easily achieved. Calls routed via ACD do not have a "Start Recording" API call, and user recordings can only be started by an agent who is in the call. I hope I got that right?

    I am wondering if there is some solution for this? Maybe a workaround, such as recording all calls but automatically deleting recordings unless the voice bot disables the deletion for a particular session/recording?

    Any pointers are highly appreciated.
