Static Link Problem

    Hello All,
I'm facing an issue with a static link where I have scheduled a recurring interaction report (Daily) and am trying to fetch the data using Power BI with a Python script.

I only receive the report that was extracted first, and I don't get the report from the latest run. According to the documentation, when you configure a scheduled export from the Analytics Workspace and enable the Generate Static Link option, each export run should replace the file at the static URL location. However, it still shows the old report that was generated on Day 1. I'm testing this feature under "cac1" org

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Regards,
    Adesh

    Hello Adesh,

Have you tried step 8 in our documentation

    8. To refresh the data, configure an interval. Follow the instructions in the Configure scheduled refresh page so that the interval coincides with the static link report runtime

    Cheers,

    Hi Cameron,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have tried step 8, but no luck.

By the way, when I test the script, it retrieves the data that needs to be exported  but unfortunately it shows the first report's data rows (not the latest one).

    Regards,
    Adesh

What time frame did you choose on the scheduled section?

    Hi Robert,

I'm using daily timeframe for an export.

Your time period is Yesterday.  That is what I was looking for.  On your export inbox, are you seeing only the same report each day?

    Hi Robert,

Yes, that's correct-the time period is yesterday.

I can see all the reports in my inbox. When I download the report, it gives the correct version, but when I copy the static link from the same latest report and try to paste it in the web browser to download, it gives me the old report. This means the older report is not being replaced by the latest run.

I am guessing a glitch in the configuration data.  I would first try removing that putting it back in.  You don't have more than 20 exports scheduled do you?

    Hi,

It appears there is an issue with the CAC1-Canada org. I tested the same configuration under the Frankfurt org, and it is working fine there. I was able to view the latest run report without any problems.
