    Hi Community,

I am trying to understand the data retention settings as mentioned in the below document:

Set the maximum interaction data retention time - Genesys Cloud Resource Center (mypurecloud.com)

The default value for the maximum interaction data retention time is null.

Can someone please clarify what would that mean if not set for recordings?

    Thank you.

This is for all the stats and metrics for the system.  Essentially, all the data you see in the Performance Views.  This is set to NULL meaning no time limit so no data will be deleted as long as you have a subscription.  Now, here is the catch.  If you set a timeframe in there, all your data beyond that date will be deleted pretty much instantly and can never be retrieved.  There is no way to set it back to NULL, so you have to set to something like 99 years or 36000 days.  There is not much warning so unless you have a specific reason to delete your data, don't change this.

Thanks @Robert Wakefield-Carl for the quick reply, appreciate it. That was my guess too that it will stay indefinitely but just wanted to confirm from the experts :)
