  • 1.  Tick boxes removed from Operational Console?

      |   view attached

We regularly report on our Telephony errors via the Operational Console and can no longer select multiple types of error to view together. There is ALL or selecting each error one by one... I would previously tick all the relevant error codes I.e. Telephony-0006, Telephony-0010, Telephony-0011, Telephony-0012, to view all these together.

It appears to have changed with this week's release.

It would be great to see these come back because it's already a highly manual process to collect this and tie it to actual conversation data to get the full picture.

Can't imagine there was a business reason to remove this functionality, can we have it back?

    Greetings Joanna:

I have noticed that as well, which doesn't align with what the documentation says about operational console filtering. You'll likely want to open a ticket with Genesys Support to get a definitive answer on what occurred though. Please reply here with what you hear back.

I read their response as "we made it worse on purpose but thanks for helping us cover up that it used to be better"
    Their response:

    Current Filtering Method:

    1. Navigate to the Operational Console (Menu > IT and Integrations > Operational Console)
    2. You can filter events by clicking directly on the Event Definition ID (e.g., ARCHITECT-001 or LOGCAPTURE-1000)
    3. Each click will filter the view to show only events matching that specific Event Definition ID
    4. To return to viewing all events, select the "ALL" option

Please note that at this time, multi-select filtering is not available - events can only be filtered by one Event Definition ID at a time. Additionally, operational events are retained for 10 days, so please ensure you're searching within this timeframe when troubleshooting.

We appreciate you highlighting the documentation mismatch. We have notified our documentation team to update the help articles to reflect the current interface and filtering methodology.

For additional filtering options, you can still:

    • Filter by date range using the calendar selector

    • Filter by Entity Name or ID using the search field

    • Enter values directly in the Event Definition ID field

Would've been nice if they told you why they removed the multi-select capability. At least you now know there's no "technical" issue given they indirectly indicated the capability is now in fact different than it used to be.

Thank you for sharing the outcome 🙏

So it looks like this would have been related to this week's release, which they could have alluded to when I specifically questioned them about it. It doesn't feel like that much of an enhancement and I have no use for this new feature (count of error type) - I did have a use for the multi-select they took away...
