  • 1.  Time off paid hours for variable length shift staff

    Posted 10-25-2023 04:08

    Hi

I'm still new to Genesys WFM, so please bear with me.  We've got some part time staff who work different length shifts during the week but not on a predictable pattern.

eg - Agent A works 22 h per week Mon-Fri - 1x 6h paid, 2x 8h paid but with no fixed pattern.  When booking leave it's currently allocating 6h for a single day and 30 h (5*6) for a week for this agent.

The work pattern specifies weekly paid hours and lists all possible shift options.  The first shift listed in the work pattern is a 6h one - might this be the cause of the assumed 6h leave per day?

At present we don't have auto approve turned on for leave - we were considering it, but if it's going to add up numbers in this way, then we're going to need to keep manual oversight.

Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas that could help?

    Thanks

    Hi Dave

Welcome to Genesys WEM, we have a strong team within our community that can help. I just wanted to check if you had maybe set a daily paid time minimum in your work plan setting? Our resident WFM SME @Chuck Swain may be able to help you early next week to walk through this if needed.

    Talk soon!

    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Here you go!
For simplicity in my original post, I did omit the fact that Fri (when worked) is always a 6h 08:30 start shift, but it could also be a non work day if service demand was greater on other days of the week.  Early shifts and late shifts are set out separately as we have 15 min granularity on early starts and 1 hr granularity on lates.
