If you adjust their scheduled time-off activity and reduce payable time from 8 to 4 hours, then payable hours of corresponding time-off request will also be adjusted accordingly.
The above works only, when adjusting scheduled activities that were created based of time-off requests and were not otherwise modified in the schedule. If scheduled time-off activity is not based on pre-existing time-off request and is created in the schedule only, then the system does not create time-off request for it.

I'm still not sure I'm fully understanding, so my apologies for another clarification needed:
Does this mean that if I adjust their time off request in a schedule from 8hrs paid to 4hrs paid that the corresponding request in the Time Off Requests section also changes from 8hrs to 4hrs?
Does that also mean that if I add a "full day off" in the schedule, that a Time Off Request is created?
Does it create a time off request if I simply shorten their paid time for the day and don't back fill with anything?

Essentially this is for if the agent's scheduled paid time were to change, the system syncs that back to their Time off Request so that it matches up the Time off Requests payable time based on modified payable time in schedule.
That would explain why your agents are getting an estimated paid time.

Hello! Can anyone describe what this check box actually does when setting up a BU? There doesn't seem to be any information in the Resource Center.
"In the Time-Off Synchronization section, select the checkbox to enable the time-off synchronization to synchronize the payable time between agents' schedule and time-off requests."
We currently have this unchecked, though when agents make time-off requests they do get an estimated payable time based off their schedule or work plan.
