I am trying to understand why we must select a time zone every time we want to view historical adherence for a work team. Is this some kind of update? Can we disable this?

With what I built for our teams, I have it set to America / New York even though we are in Michigan. Should I be building new business units the same moving forward? What is the point of time zone updates if we are unable to go back and update business unit time zones?

If you select a Management Unit, then the time zone should fill in. The time zone selection is so you can see data in different time zones. Once a Management Unit is selected and the time zone as well, then those selections will persist at least for that session (e.g., if you nav to somewhere else and back, the selection should be retained).

    Hi Al,

This is expected behavior. Historical Adherence requires selecting a time zone because WFM views that include a time‑zone picker are designed to honor the selected display zone, not the Business Unit's default. This cannot be disabled.

Your BU using America/New_York is fine, and you can create future BUs using the correct local zone. BU time zones cannot be changed later because they affect core scheduling logic, which is why they are locked once created
