For a while, the setting was not updating the edge until you re-saved the queue.
Are you running the latest Edge software?
Did you turn off the whisper recently, or did you turn it off a couple of weeks ago (or before) bit have not saved the queue settings since?
You might try going into the queue settings, turning the setting on and then off, and saving the queue, to see if it resolves the issue.
