Hi,
Next week will go to a customer's site to unpair an Edge v3 registered on a customer's Genesys Cloud instance (Region: Dublin) and to register (pair) it on a new customer's instance (same customer, same physical conections, same network, same network interfaces configurations, and also same GC region). I would like to clarify the steps below, or tell me if something wrong please:
specially I would like to clarify the steps to unpair, and get the edge ready for new pairing to the other org.
UNPAIR:
1) Take Edge out of service. wait fror draining calls.
2) Unpair the Edge using Telephony UI: Click the Edge name to access the Edit Edge page. Locate the Edge Information panel or the right side of the page. Locate the Cloud Connectivity section and click Unpair Edge. When you see the confirmation prompt, click Unpair.
3) If the the edge is "Awaiting Connectin" or "Inactive" . Delete the edge via Dev Tools using:
DELETE /api/v2/telephony/providers/edges/{edgeId}
4) Unpair via USB Stick :
Write the unpair package to a USB stick. (included here as attachment), only valid for edge v3 or new mini v2
Insert the USB stick to the edge. You should see the light flash as data is read from the USB stick. The LCD status changes to show that
the unpair action is initiated.
After 30 seconds the Edge is ready to unpair. The LCD status changes to show that unpairing is finalizing.
Unpairing is complete when the Edge indicates that it is ready to receive new pairing configuration data. NOTE: the Edge is not done at
this point.
The Edge MUST reboot to complete the unpairing operation. It waits 60 seconds and then the reboot is initiated. You will see the LCD go
dark and the fans spin up. Wait for the Edge to display that its ready to receive config data a second time.
