Natively, the answer is no its only a one direction sync Genesys -> Teams.
But I believe there is an appfoundry application "syncDings for Microsoft Teams" by Deliberate GmbH. I believe this offers bi-directional sync. I have personally never used it just heard about it from other customers to help resolve the one direction sync limitation.

People use Teams to for quick calls, meetings, or training, but the user's Genesys status does not reflect the agent is currently on the phone or in a meeting/training.
I am aware there is the ability to update a user's Teams status based on the Genesys status selected but can this work in reverse to update the user's Genesys status based on the user's Teams status?
