    Hi,

I am trying out the newly release feature "Multiple concurrent Genesys applications per user" "Administrators can now configure which WebRTC client takes priority when a user is connected to multiple Genesys Cloud applications, such as CRM embedded clients, browser clients, or desktop apps. "

I am trying this together with Salesforce, I'd like to have the embedded client in Salesforce ringen first, but whatever I do it seems the Genesys Cloud webapp rings first each time... Does someone have the same issue?

Configure WebRTC client alerting - Genesys Cloud Resource Center

I've set this in Global Telephony Settings:

    #API/Integrations
    #Omni-ChannelDesktop/UserInterface
    #Roadmap/NewFeatures
    #System/PlatformAdministration
    #Telephony

    Hello Jeroen,

Are you logged in to the Salesforce client. This is a requirement for the highest priority to kick off.

You might also want to check you have the following permissions.

Telephony > Plugin > All permission
Telephony > WebRTC Alerting Priority > Edit
Telephony > WebRTC Alerting Priority > View

If you have all of this done, my next recommended step is to open up a case with Customer Care. As it sounds like something is not triggering on the Genesys side.

    Cheers,

    Hi Cameron.

I have the permissions, but I see the config options disappeared, so maybe a rollback was done?

    Regards,

    Jeroen

I also have noticed that the permissions still are not available for my Orgs in East and West regions.

Now shows to be postponed.  Any idea for how long?  This is a feature we are very much looking forward to.

Yes, this seems a great feature to have. Hopefully it gets sorted out soon.

    HI @Cameron Tomlin,

do you have any idea if this still will be released? It's not in the overview of future releases Genesys Cloud – Features coming soon - Genesys Cloud Resource Center

    Thanks,

    Jeroen

    Hello Jeroen,

I don't have an exact date but the idea here, says its still in development, which could mean it could be awhile. I would keep an eye on the release notes as well as the idea to check on the status.

    Cheers,

We'll just have to be patient :-). I think it will be a nice feature to have and have some use cases for it.

    Hi Jeroen,

I am curious, too. I check every two weeks, if there is progress. At the moment Configure WebRTC client alerting - Genesys Cloud Resource Center states "its coming soon". This flag disappeared a time ago and last week reappeared.

I noticed that the permissions are not yet available for my organizations.

Same in mine. Would be great from Genesys a note to customers engaged about this rollback.

    Posting to this thread:

Now that this is released; has anyone configured/deployed it? If so, have any issues been identified or are there any gotchas or considerations that aren't immediately apparent?

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

I tried and I was disappointed. We are using Genesys Cloud as WepApp, in Browser and as Desktop-App. But as they are all Chromium-based the feature does not differentiate between this three. The feature is useless to me.

    Hi Peter,

Tried in our SIT environment with SF and native UI and working well.

Just when auto-answer is set it's a bit odd for the agents; when auto-answer:
    - if set at queue level, and no relevance about priority; agent receive toast notification that there is incoming conversation that will be auto answered
    - if set at agent level, with priority for SF it's same than above
    - if set at agent level, and priority is for native UI, then, it's also presented another toast alert by alerting interaction is coming with answer/view options, in additional to the one of cases 1st and 2nd.

But in summary is working as we expect.

If we enable this feature in any capacity, it greys out the Answer button in our embedded CRM Softphone.  Doesn't matter what order we have them in, or if only 1 in the list; Answer button is greyed out.  Oddly enough, all other buttons (Disconnect, Transfer, etc) work fine.
