  • 1.  What number is shown for outbound faxes

    Here is something I cannot find in the resource center:  What number is shown on outbound faxes in these situations:

    1. A user with DID and One-number Fax permission
    2. A user with no DID and One-number Fax permission
    3. An API call to the agentless fax

    I assume that if there is a DID and the trunk is setup to use that for outbound calling, the fax will use the same and if no DID is available, it will use the settings on the trunk.  

    Anyone have a clue?

    @Robert Wakefield-Carl You've probably already reviewed it, but the enhanced CallerID controls on Sites and Trunks would help control what values are used.  Things like Extensions, DIDs/Campaigns, Sites, etc can be prioritized.  Generally the Trunk value is placed at the bottom of the list, and if a call action does not provide context which trumps it, it will be used.

    So in follow-up, does faxing use the same site as the user's logged in/default phone or does it use the default site like Architect?
