  • 1.  What OS does the Edge Standard v3 run?

    I have a client requesting the OS version and type that is running on the Edge Standard v3.  They are asking for documentation purposes.

    The PureCloud Edge Standard V3 runs an embedded Linux kernel. We use a stripped down version of Centos 7.

    All communication from the Edge is outbound and secure using HPPTS. We use OpenSSL. The Edge does not accept inbound connections.

    Don, I noticed in the articles:

    they cover Standard V1 and V2, and Genesys no longer sells those versions. Is there a huge difference to V3? And can you point me to any resources for V3?

    By using the developers API you can also find the OS used by a specific Edge. For example the Edge Mini uses "Microsoft Windows Embedded 8 Standard" as it's OS. It's actually interesting that Genesys is developing their Edge software for different OS. 

    By using /api/v2/telephony/providers/edges in the developer API you can see the OS for each Edge under "osName".
