If you use (or would like to use) External Contacts in PureCloud and want to import your External Contacts data from other systems, I would love to know three things:

    • If you had a bulk import API for External Contacts that you loved, what would it look like?
    • If a record failed to import, how would that affect you? What would you do about it?
    • From a business perspective, what are you hoping to accomplish by using External Contacts?

Also, if you are interested in this feature, please vote for it in the PureCloud Ideas Lab: https://purecloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CLDIG-I-221

For those that are interested in providing more detail, I have these more in-depth questions:

    • How much data do you import (or want to import)?
    • Which data types?
      • External Contacts
      • External Organizations
      • Notes on
        • Contacts
        • External Orgs
      • Relationships between your PureCloud users and External Organizations
    • What is the growth rate of that data set?
    • Do you need to keep that data up-to-date in PureCloud? How much of a delay can you tolerate?
    • How often does that data change?
    • Where is the data currently stored?
    • What will the system-of-record be? Will it be an external system/database, or will you move the data into PureCloud and use PureCloud External Contacts as the system-of-record?
    • If you import this data into PureCloud today, how do you perform the import?

Thank you very much for your insights!
