Our customer is currently using a Dialogflow, Genesys Cloud and Whatsapp integration
As the customer's current phone number for WhatsApp is already live over on WhatsApp Business (non verified), we are planning to get a development number (different from the production number) to build the flow for testing before porting over to the live number.
- Let's say we submit for WhatsApp onboarding form first using the development number and get it approved, then we start building using this number. Can we change the phone number associated with our Facebook account to a later date nearer to launch?
- Is it possible to submit multiple numbers under 1 verified Facebook account?
- How feasible is having 2 verified Facebook accounts but under one business unit (submitting using the same document)?
- What's the general best practice for cases like this - where a development environment is needed but the current phone number is live?
The customer's priority is to minimize downtime.
I already have a contingency plan to build and test it out on either webchat or facebook for the time being. Nearer to launch, Delete Whatsapp current account (as instructed in the form), submit for approval, switchover from webchat to Whatsapp, do tests and roll out within a short amount of time to minimize downtime. Any other better way to do this?
