  • 1.  Will Dell Products support the Customer Hardware EDGE instead of HPE?

    Hi , I understand that we have to use only HPE products to create a edge for Customer Hardware solution deployment as per Bill of materials for the Customer Hardware Solution - Small - Genesys Cloud Resource Center (mypurecloud.com). We want to know if we purchase Dell servers with similar hardware specificaation supported by Genesys.

    From my experience, any hardware outside of the suggested parts from the Recipe will be immediately  suspect if you call into support for any problems with the Edge.  I don't think it actually checks on the hardware when you install the Recipe, but @David Van Milligan can correct me there.  It then becomes a question of risk on your side if you trust the hardware enough to not have issues and that you can convince Genesys of that if you do.

    Hi Anush,

    Dell hardware is not supported as a Premises Edge solution. The first step of the installation wizard is to check that the hardware configuration aligns with the validated bill of materials.
