In this video, @Guru Prasadh Jeevan Rao discusses a new feature "Agents can create summaries of interactions on-demand"
Agents can now generate a summary of an active interaction by pressing a button in Agent Copilot. The summary is presented in an editable text box, allowing agents to review and update it before the interaction ends. This feature helps reduce after call work time by enabling agents to prepare summaries during the conversation, and the summary persists after the interaction concludes.

Hello Lionel,
Thanks for the question - please refer to this link - https://help.genesys.cloud/articles/configure-the-genesys-agent-copilot-settings/Agents can only create one summary per interaction. If the agent generates an on-demand summary, Genesys Agent Copilot does not generate a summary at the end of the interaction.Since there is no scope of generating more than one call summary currently as part of the interaction, no additional tokens get consumed for using on-demand summaries as well. Hope this clarifies your query.
Hello Guru,
Thank you for your quick reply. My question is slightly different: if an agent generates one or more intermediate summaries during an interaction, will each of those summaries consume additional AI tokens and therefore incur extra token-related costs?
I would appreciate any clarification on how token consumption is calculated for this feature.
Hello Lionel - Genesys Agent Copilot consumes tokens and on-demand summaries is an integral part Genesys Agent Copilot - https://help.genesys.cloud/articles/genesys-cloud-tokens-model/#genesys-cloud-ai-experience-metering-details
