Hello -

I'm looking for the minimum set of permissions necessary to allow an individual to modify the delete date on a recording created by recording policy (in effect delete the recording). According to the resource center, they need to be assigned Recording > Retention Policy > All permission to accomplish this one small task. Giving someone the ability to create and modify entire retention policies to adjust the settings on a single recording, on its face, is ludicrous.

It seems Recording > Recording > Edit Retention  with no conditions will do it (given the circular description "Edit a Recordings Retention Policy"). Now just have to figure out why some users aren't seeing the role correctly.

So, basically, in the Interactions view (or wherever you can see it), changing the Delete Date in this section to effectively delete the recording:
Correct?

I'll see what I can find out. Maybe someone else will answer in the meantime.

I added in Recording > Recording > Delete  on a whim, but that didn't have any effect either (presuming that permission affects ad-hoc recordings).

Please tell me that you don't have to assign permissions to the entire policy area, an area impacting the entire system that should be reserved to the higher admins, to supervisors who may need to adjust archive or delete dates on individual recordings.

I added these permissions via a custom role to to someone with the PureCloud User (AKA PureEngage User) role, and they were able to change the Delete date:

Note that you can designate a specific queue or other conditions.
