This is possible with the Genesys Cloud WebRTC phone
How to configure:
- Set your computer speakers as the default audio output
- Use your operating system's audio controls (Windows Sound Settings or Mac System Preferences)
- This ensures incoming call alerts ring through your speakers
- Configure your headset in the WebRTC phone settings
- Access the phone settings where you select the Genesys Cloud WebRTC phone
- Choose your headset as the audio device for call conversations
This setup allows you to hear incoming calls through your speakers without wearing your headset all day. Once you answer a call, the conversation automatically takes place through your configured headset.

Hello all -
Can a WebRTC phone sound settings be configured to have the initial phone call alerting ring audibly through computer speakers, but the conversation still take place through an attached headset? This will allow me to not have to wear my headset the entire time I am working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
