For customers who require a blocklist, we add a task in front of every direct inbound call flow and do a data table lookup for blocked numbers and disconnect if it's found.
The problem is that data table lookups have had some weird issues from time to time. You cannot set the timeout, so if it fails, it takes a while before the call proceeds. You could hardcode one number, but you wouldn't want to update multiple flows each time there is a change. You could call a data action and use an external API with a very short timeout in case there is an issue. When they release truly reusable task, you could go that route as well.
