Is there any work around to get browser set to a different time zone?  WFM Admin are in CST and EST, when scheduling EST agents, hour behind if Admin is in CST.  I know their GP can be changed and their PCs run in EST, but is not optimal.

If you are talking about schedules, you can set the time zone next to the MU/BU selection:

Same for the Intraday and Historical Adherence. .  As for the Performance Views, you can export in a different time zone.

Thx Robert, that is info i didn't know.  WFM Analyst did.  They came back with this - Yes, sir. We've done that but according to Genesys it doesn't matter. The cloud will pick up your browser time zone and even when you set EST it doesn't work.

If there is any specific WFM view where there is a time zone picker, then that view should honor the time zone and display times correctly. If you are seeing different behavior I would open a support ticket. On a production org, I spot checked views and they are honoring display time zone selection in the WFM views.

If this is about scheduling agents who are in different time zones than their business unit, then those agents' work plans would need to be configured in the times appropriate to the business need. Work plan times are always in the business unit's time zone. If the business desires 9am earliest start for the BU time zone, then 9am would be used. If however the agent was 2h earlier in their time zone and it was desired to be 9am in the agent's time zone, then the work plan would be configured with a 11am earliest start so that it would be 9am for the agent. The only other thing to mention here is if the agents' time zone and the business time zone differ in terms of Daylight Saving Time (one honors and one doesn't, they have different DST biases, transitions do not occur around the same date), is that it may be necessary, depending on the business desires, to modify the work plan configurations. I.e., BU TZ is EST and agent time zone is America/Phoenix, which does not honor DST, so the difference is sometimes 2h and sometimes 3h depending on the time of year - if you want the agents' earliest start time to be 'stable', then you would need to modify the work plans around one of the DST transitions. We are discussing the ability to specify a 'target time zone' for a work plan and also allow optional setting of time zone per agent in WFM. This would circumvent the need for DST related adjustments that may, for specific cases/desires, be necessary.

If this is for scheduling purposes, they can set their Desktop/Laptop device to the time zone the business unit is setup in; that helps to visualize the schedule when creating workplans.

The system is incapable of handling time zones correctly when daylight savings occurs if you have global users from regions that change time at different times of the year (EMEA, APAC, NAM) or don't observe DST. If this is your situation, I encourage you to vote for the time zone fix ideas such as https://genesyscloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/WFMSCH-I-41 that is supposed to be in upcoming development; however, we been told it was in the works for over a year and half now.

Appreciate it Brad.  Yeah, can get them to a different OU for EST zone.  Just allowing them to change or direct change would just get smoked when GPupdates run.  They probably will have to get in an EST zone, which is lame because they sit in Texas.  But it is what it is.......
