Hi Rajeev, in order for Genesys to meet compliance in a number of areas, GDPR, PCI etc, this all needs to be encrypted/SSL. If there was an ablity to "disable" this or fallback to non-secure connections it would break all of that compliance and cause major issues to all Genesys customers around the world. You'll see that most of the communication outside of media is on port 443/https.
I know for PCI compliance you can talk to your Genesys account rep and, after exchanging an NDA can get a copy of the AoC that covers what was validated to provide Genesys' compliance.
So short answer, default yes but cannot be "disabled".
