    Hello, 
    I have a sales group that is attempting to use PureCloud external contacts as a way to manage their contacts while they wait to transition to a new CRM environment. Is there a way to configure the contacts so that when a user goes to the page they only see the contacts that are assigned to them?

    There's an idea for Private External Contacts and you may vote for it.
    It's still in "Community Review" status (https://purecloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CLPLA-I-491)

    However, from what I may see, the idea (External Contacts - Customization of contact data) is "in development"
    (https://purecloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CLANA-I-56)

    So maybe once when this is implemented you may use some of the custom fields to distinct them, but still it will not be private contacts.

    Not sure how many contacts your talking about, but you could create an organization for each agent in External Contacts, then assign contacts to that organization. That way when they click on organization in external contacts, and then click on their "organization" they would see a list of contacts specific to that organization.
    Not sure how interim a solution you're looking for, or for how long, but it is an option.
