We have a requirement from a customer to display employee IDs on their users' Genesys Cloud profiles. I know this can achieved by either using the default "Employee ID" field or by creating a custom Profile Field. My questions are:

1) If using a custom field, is there any way to populate this via SCIM? I know the default fields can be but not sure if it can be done for custom fields.

2) Is there any way to display users' custom fields in the reporting views?

Hello James, 

SCIM provisioning for custom profile fields is limited to only standard/default fields only. Custom profile fields cannot be populated via SCIM provisioning. 

If employee ID tracking is a requirement that needs to be sync'd via SCIM then the best practice would be to use the default "Employee ID" field. 

Regarding displaying custom fields in reporting, custom profile fields are not directly available in standard reporting views. The data from custom profile fields is primarily accessible is through:

• User profile views
• Directory searches 
• API calls
