Hello,
I am researching deactivating users (setting their status to inactive) vs deleting users. I am not really seeing much of a difference in the documentation.
We currently deactivate our termed users as this prevents them from logging in and retains data. However, we have to manually remove them from everything. We have to remove them from WFM, from their work team, from gamification, and delete their phones. However, we MUST keep their performance data such as how many calls they took on which days, which calls they took, they're AHT, etc. Pretty much anything that is found throughout workspaces. Keeping that data is a legal requirement.
It looks like we can delete users via Genesys (as long as we don't use the API) and still retain that information. But now I am not seeing what the difference is between deleting and deactivating a user. Can someone help me see what I am missing?
