  • 1.  Dialog Engine Voice Channel TTS requirement

    I am trying to write  my first bot and running into the issue that Architect Validator states to select another TTS engine besides  Genesys TTS.  My representative is telling me that I do not need to add Google as it is included in the solution.  Can anyone confirm the requirement.  There is nothing I can find in the documentation and only posts on this forum from last April stating it is required but that is a fair time ago !   Is see the same validation issue in some of the demo video but it miraculously disappears without explanation.

    Your representative is referring to a feature that isn't released yet.  You need to use one of the other available third party TTS engines.

    @Melissa Bailey do you have any status or projection on the Genesys Enhanced TTS engine release? I've got a large client that wants to stick with just Genesys for  Dialog Engine and no external subscription to Google Cloud or Amazon for TTS. Are you close? Next quarter or what?​

    You are correct.  The Genesys TTS is so poor that even their own bots refuse to use it.  The Genesys Enhanced TTS will work but still not out yet.  Sounds VERY much like Google Wavenet voices for some reason.
