  • 1.  Dialogflow chatbot - PureCloud integration

    Good afternoon Community:

    PureCloud documentation mentioned that we can use Dialogflow in order to create chatbots integrated with PureCloud platform, but if I set an Architect inbound chatflow or inbound message flow I do not have the DialogFlow action that is abled in an inbound call flow (Call Dialogflow Bot).

    "Companies use Google Dialogflow to design conversational interface chatbots, like the bots which power Google Assistant. This integration allows PureCloud to call Google Dialogflow bot actions in Architect call, message, and chat flows."

    Do you have any examples or documentation that specifies how works the Dialogflow chatbot-PureCloud integration for both chat and message media types?

    Dialogflow is currently only available for call flows.  It's still in beta testing for chat/message flows.

    I joined a DevCast yesterday regarding using Dialogflow to implement a chatbot. So, did you mean the feature still has not been released yet? I have setup everything as William mentioned earlier but i can't find Dialogflow action in Architect when I created an in-bound chat flow. Or did I miss anything?

    Ricky,

    You'll need to go to the Genesys AppFoundry marketplace and purchase the Google DialogFlow integration for your org using the "Free Trial" button.  Alternatively you can click the "Contact Us" button to talk to Genesys Sales to get them to enable the integration for your org.

    After Google DialogFlow is enabled for your org, you'll have to go to Admin->Integration and add the integration, set it up, and activate it.  Once activated, then it will become available in Architect.

    Thanks for reply. I already have done all of what you mentioned. However, i can only add Dialogflow action in in-bound call flow, but not in-bound chat flow. I remember I saw in the DevCast it should work for both call and chat.

    Ricky,

    According to the PureCloud Resource Center article here (https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/call-dialogflow-bot/) the Google DialogFlow integration is only available for voice call flow types.  I believe that DialogFlow for Chat is on the roadmap.

    The Chat functionality is currently in Beta. Work through your CSM to request access to the Beta, or wait for it to go Generally Available (which looks like it will be sometime this quarter).
