I did more digging and testing and yeah, the Email Delivery Receipts appear to be only for outbound email campaign emails, the Delivery Status columns in the Interaction View appear to only be for outbound email campaigns as well, we tested outbound adhoc email, outbound adhoc SMS (messaging interaction type), and outbound email campaign emails and only the campaign emails had a delivery status.
I've added suggestions to the article "Email delivery receipts" to make it clear that this is for outbound email campaign emails only, and to articles "Interactions view", and "Campaign Interactions Detail view" in the Delivery Status sections to make it clearer what interaction types are supported.

I've been trying to figure out how Email Delivery Receipts work in Genesys Cloud, does anyone know?
There is a resource centre page Email delivery receipts - Genesys Cloud Resource Center about it, but no indication on how this functions or how to see this data, I've tested outbound emails and can't see any delivery receipts in either interaction view or interaction detail view, there is a column in interaction view for Delivery Status but this appears to only be for SMS not email.
The article on resource centre has a link to the interaction view page but there is nothing on there about email delivery receipts, I've also tried to use APIs to get this detail but can't see it anywhere.
