I want to start of by mentioning since you are BYOC and your considering switching to GCV. I would recommend discussing this transition with your account team. They can provide more details on pricing, migration considerations, regional availability, and any other special requirements for your use case.
I apologize that I cannpt provide specific pricing info as this varies by region, number type (DID or toll-free), volume of numbers, and specific contractual agreements. Again I would recommend talking to your account team for pricing.
Now the number purchasing is pretty straight forward. Once number management is enabled in your Genesys Cloud org you can purchase numbers by:
- Navigate to Admin > Genesys Cloud Voice > Number Management
- Click "Purchase Numbers"
- Select the number type, DID or toll free
- For toll free numbers you'll need to specify a three digit prefix
- Choose your country
- Search for availble numbers
- Select the numbers you want
- Complete the purchase
All done!
Its important to note that number availability can be subject to regulatory and technical restrictions, so numbers aren't always immediately available for purchase. If you have a specific requirement or can't find the numbers you need, you should contact the Genesys Cloud Voice support team with:
- Org ID
- Genesys Cloud region
- Quantity and type of numbers needed.
