    Two questions. 

    First, where does Genesys save the source data for external contacts? 
    Additionally, is there a way to rollback the data to an older version?

    All that data is stored in Genesys cloud in a database in your ORG S3 bucket.  You can open a CARE case and see about a backup and restore of the data, but I have not heard that it is possible, but you never know.
