I am in favor of doing something non-US centric, because many of us work for global companies and it would be fun to learn about other cutures. Maybe write up an article about some holiday somewhere in the world and then do a Q&A with someone from that country.

I live in the US but I am on a global team so I might be able to talk one of my overseas teammates into it. My Italian friend is always good for sharing his culture.
